KARACHI: Anaya Umair and Izyana Umair, the Trailblazing Sisters of Pakistan, visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea for an engaging discussion on girls’ education, gender equality, life skills and sports.

His Excellency Mr. Kim, Consul General, advised the young sisters to pursue their passions, saying, “Do what you like to do, because this is your life,” encouraging them not to succumb to peer pressure.

Responding to Anaya Umair, recognised as the youngest author of Pakistan, on Korea’s education system, the Consul General highlighted free education through high school and its importance in shaping future generations.

The sisters, students of Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan School, also shared Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan III’s vision of girls’ education, with Anaya remarking, “If you can educate one child, educate a daughter, because daughters are lining up the generation.”

As a goodwill gesture, Mr. Kim presented the sisters with Facts About Korea. In return, Anaya and Izyana gifted their authored books for inclusion in the Consulate’s library, celebrating education, cultural exchange and young authorship.
