In today’s society, the participation of women in every field and the spirit of standing on their own feet is commendable and the people who provide a good platform to such skilled women are also to be commended.
My name is Misbah Manzoor and I am from Karachi.
I’m a housewife. Some time ago I thought of working in the food field as an entrepreneur. I did not receive any formal cooking training, however,I wanted to somehow keep alive the way my mother taught and the way she cooked. Everyone was impressed by her culinary skills. So I decided that what I really needed to do was to do it online and I created my page and group by the name of Abida’s Kitchen.
I started searching and gathering every little information about starting my work . I closely observed the work of my fellow chefs . My next step was to find a good platform Where I can promote my work and learn more that is connected to this field.
I am fortunate to have found this platform, Homemade Food Services by Ayesha Wajid, very soon and its admin appreciated my work. I had the opportunity to promote the food my mother taught me. My admin also took a closer look and appreciated my other abilities. And she offered me to work with her. That moment was nothing short of a victory for me.
I learned a lot from joining Homemade Food Services group and I had the opportunity to work in a whole new way. Which, of course, left a positive impact on my work. Many people today know me from my work and most of the credit goes to HFS group on Facebook that provided the home chefs with the biggest platform to promote their work.
I want as many women as possible to join this group and share their culinary skills from home and stand on their own two feet. The opportunity to work with such excellent and capable people is not frequent.
