KARACHI: The historic Empress Market hosted Bandar Road Se Kemari – Women & Family Festival 2026 on October 24 and 25, bringing together local businesses, food enthusiasts, performers, families, and community representatives for a celebration of Karachi’s culture, culinary traditions, and local enterprise. A major highlight of the festival’s opening day was the visit of Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab Siddiqui, on October 24.
Organized by Jashan PK – Event With Elegance, the two-day festival provided a platform for local vendors, entrepreneurs, artisans, and businesses to showcase their products and connect with visitors. The event featured a vibrant mix of shopping stalls, food offerings, live entertainment, and activities celebrating the city’s diverse cultural identity.
The festival also highlighted Pakistan’s rich culinary heritage while celebrating “Internation Chef Day” through “Pakistani Khandani Khanoon Aur Meethoon Ka Muqabla,” a traditional food and sweets competition featuring selected candidates who showcased their culinary skills and presented traditional recipes. The competition celebrated the flavours and food traditions passed down through generations, emphasizing the importance of preserving Pakistan’s culinary heritage.
Music and entertainment added to the festival atmosphere, with RAMZ Music Band performing on October 24. Alongside the performances and culinary activities, participating businesses and vendors had the opportunity to introduce their products to attendees, while media and community partners contributed to the event’s broader outreach.
Through Bandar Road Se Kemari, Jashan PK aimed to create a space where local enterprise, cultural expression, food, and family entertainment could come together. The festival reflected the importance of community-driven events in supporting small businesses, promoting local talent, and creating opportunities for public engagement at prominent locations across Karachi.
