From four-legged fashion statements to family-friendly festivities, Dubai’s Halloween scene is embracing a more inclusive way to celebrate.
In Dubai, where weekend plans often revolve around discovering new dining spots, outdoor experiences and social gatherings, pets are increasingly part of the picture. From morning café visits to leisurely evenings on pet-friendly terraces, four-legged companions are finding their place in the city’s lifestyle scene. Now, Halloween is offering another reason to bring them along.
Traditionally associated with elaborate costumes, themed parties and trick-or-treating, Halloween is evolving beyond its familiar formula. For pet owners and families, the occasion presents an opportunity to celebrate together, creating experiences that extend beyond the usual dinner reservation or weekend outing.
When pets steal the spotlight: Dressing up pets has become one of Halloween’s most entertaining rituals, with everything from tiny superheroes to miniature vampires making appearances across social feeds. Behind the picture-perfect costumes, however, is a simple desire to include beloved companions in the moments that matter.
At Radisson RED Dubai Silicon Oasis, Paws & Potions brings this playful spirit to OUI Bar & Terrace on 30 October, from 5 PM to 3 AM. The evening features a Best Dressed Pet Competition, inviting guests to show off their companions’ Halloween looks in a lively social setting.
It is a chance for pet parents to turn a familiar tradition into a shared outing, where the four-legged guests have just as much reason to dress for the occasion as everyone else.
Making room for the whole family
The celebrations continue on 31 October with Family Fun Fest at OUI Bar, from 3 PM to 3 AM. Designed around seasonal fun, the event brings together trick-or-treating, children’s meals and food and beverage options for adults.
Children can attend for AED 50, including a meal and trick-or-treating, while adult entry is AED 75, redeemable on food and beverages. Families can opt for an AED 225 package for two adults and two children, including AED 150 in food and beverage credit, two children’s meals and trick-or-treating. Pets can join the festivities with complimentary entry.
For parents, it offers a way to introduce younger children to Halloween traditions; for pet owners, it means not having to leave a much-loved companion out of the plans. The result is a celebration shaped around togetherness rather than a one-size-fits-all night out.
A more inclusive way to celebrate
“Halloween is all about having fun, making memories and bringing people together, and for many of us, that includes our pets, too,” says Nina Petridis, General Manager of Radisson RED Dubai Silicon Oasis. “We wanted to create experiences where families can enjoy the occasion together, whether that means little ones going trick-or-treating or our four-legged guests showing off their Halloween looks.”
As Dubai’s lifestyle and hospitality offerings continue to diversify, seasonal occasions provide an opportunity to bring different communities together through experiences that feel personal, social and welcoming.
Perhaps that is Halloween’s enduring appeal: the freedom to be a little theatrical, spend time with the people and pets closest to us, and make ordinary moments feel like an occasion. And if the family dog ends up stealing the spotlight, that is all part of the fun.
