DUBAI: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has sponsored the renovation of rehabilitation classes at the Rashid Centre for People of Determination, thereby enhancing the centre’s qualifying and inclusive environment. This enables People of Determination to realise their potential and achieve their dreams, while actively participating in educational, social and recreational activities.
“In line with the directives of the wise leadership and the goals of the ‘Year of Community’, we support both government and private entities in creating an educational environment tailored to the needs of People of Determination and in providing them with innovative rehabilitation and training programmes.
This will develop inspiring models that promote the positive image of People of Determination in society and enhance their effective contribution to sustainable development. Our collaboration with the Rashid Centre for People of Determination is part of our firm belief that supporting and empowering People of Determination is a social responsibility that requires mobilising the efforts of different sectors and organisations. We also contribute to transforming Dubai into a city that is accessible for People of Determination and to making the UAE the best country in the world in caring for and empowering them,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
Mariam Othman, Director General of the Rashid Centre for People of Determination, conveyed her profound gratitude to DEWA for its continued support of the centre’s activities, emphasising that such contributions reflect a deep commitment to social responsibility and the empowerment and inclusion of People of Determination in society.
