Working in the Advertising industry for more than 15 years, currently working as a Creative Director at a renowned ad. agency in Karachi, Shaziya Kazmi ventured in to a home- based food business just before Covid hit the world.

Apart from having a prominent creative side, one of the many talents of Shaziya is also finding creative solutions generally in life. This has lead her to juggle between a full time job and growing a business that the family is rapidly becoming known for.

Starting a venture for the first time with no business experience, that too in a economically tough circumstances, is no child’s play. Instead of losing hope or closing the business down, Shaziya not only chose to remain resilient and strong but flourished her business too.

“Papa’s Kitchenette was her husband’s Idea. Creating his own recipes and getting praises for that, he decided to have a small set up based at home. Gradually my family, who are always fond of my cooking, asked me to take orders for them.  Now Papa’s Kitchenette is almost hi-jacked by Mama”- she laughingly mentioned.

Masters in Mass communication and a diploma holder in marketing and sales management, Shaziya applied her learnings and experience to help her business grow. From careful selection of ingredients, cooking with precision, packaging management and delivering to the clients, shaziya emphasizes on quality and hygiene in each and every department to make sure that her customers get the best quality with even better taste.  Started with her husband’s own recipes of frozen items, she ventured in to Pakistani, Italian and Chinese cuisine with her specialities including Shami Kebabs, Chanay ki daal ka halwa, meethi tikyan and Chicken Lasagna.

Within a span of two years, Shaziya and her Papa’s Kitchenette has won many hearts and made many repeat customers. From keeping her first food stall at a renowned School’s Open house to showcasing her talent at Coffee Waghera, Shaziya has recently been featured at GTV’s Morning show and won a Silver at CEBO Culinary awards for her ” Turkish Platter”

Constantly working on improvisations, shaziya’s future goal is to enter in to specialized and non conventional cooking. Being a great admirer for Thai and Korean food, she is working to add these cuisines in her menu.

Aiming high and believeing in hard work, Papa’s Kitchenette has surely made it this far in no time. We wish Shaziya Kazmi all the best for her andeavours. Her social media business pages can be checked at www.facebook.com/papaskitchenette & www.instgram.com/papa.kitchenette
