“I realized my dream of designing clothes and accessories on the first birthday of my daughter. My loving mother brought me a fabric that had sequins stitched to it in a lovely floral design. Upon asking she told me that she had kept this keepsake from my childhood when I had stitched this lovely design and now, I could use it to make a frock for the first birthday of my daughter.
Although my kids were small, I started my business with only two or three loyal customers who would just buy from me because of the exclusiveness of my work.
Slowly I hired two workers who would work on my designs under my constant supervision. When production increased my clientele within my community also grew.
I had a passion for not letting any scrap of fabric go to waste in my workshop. Thats how I stepped into the world of designing patchwork accessories and it has become my trademark. After thirty-five years of work, I stepped outside my comfort zone and participated in the SAARC exhibition which gave me a platform to showcase my talent through my products to many new people.
Now I am dealing with a variety of products like hand sling bags, patchwork quilts, embroidered clutches, children backpack and much more.”
