DUBAI: Rotary Club Karachi (Platinum) decided to host an ‘Achievement Dinner’ to celebrate its first anniversary with fellow members, fellow Rotarians, members of ABAD, socialites, celebrities and section of media. This ‘achievement dinner’ was held Marriott Hotel, Karachi.
Mrs. Noureen Khan, General Secretary, Rotary Club Karachi (Platinum) during the welcome speech thanked all the esteemed guests for attending and making this ‘achievement dinner’ a huge success. According to her; “this ‘achievement dinner’ is be held to commemorate RCK Platinum’s first anniversary and to honour Mr. Mohsin Shaikhani Patron-in-Chief of ABAD who was kind enough to consent as the chief guest”.
Mr. Hassan Bakshi, Chairman ABAD also shared his views on current scenario relating to construction and property development sector. He stressed on the need of corruption free environment for all. He also praised the efforts of Rotary Club for playing its role in improvement of civil structure of Karachi. Later-on Mr. Anwar Dawood, Senior Vice Chairman ABAD, Mr. Abdul Karim Vice-Chairman ABAD, Mr. Ibrahim Habib Chairman Southern Region ABAD also shared their views.
“Situation for property developers has now improved after spending nearly 18 months of hardship. Supreme Court’s decisions to ban construction of high-rise buildings was very tough on all property developers (aka builders), but al-hamdu-llillah we survived the hardship and now we come back stronger and united”, this was stated by Mr. Mohsin Shaikhani Patron-in-Chief of ‘Association of Builders and Developers’ of Pakistan (ABAD) speaking at the dinner.
He further said; “Supreme Court’s ban effected thousands and our community had to suffer for 18 months, but now situation is better”.
Lastly on concluding note Mr. Rizwan Aadhia, President, Rotary Club Karachi (Platinum) thanked all the participants for sparing their precious time and making this achievement dinner a success. BIZ TODAY REPORT
