FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited and Citi Pakistan Partner to Strengthen Supplier Financing and Supply Chain Resilience

KARACHI: FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL) partners with Citi Pakistan through the Citi® Supplier Finance digital platform for their suppliers, reinforcing a shared commitment to strengthening supplier relationships and enhancing supply chain resilience.

The program aims to strengthen FCEPL’s supplier relationships by enabling them to receive early payments while allowing the company to maintain its agreed payment terms. This supports bilateral working capital strategy without impacting cash flow throughout the transition period. The initiative taken by the FCEPL team truly ensures that their Grass to Glass journey creates a robust environment for every stakeholder operating within their eco-system.

“One of the most common issues we see within the supplier landscape is financial disbalance, which leads to competent candidates often missing out on opportunities to secure transactions and contracts. This partnership will clear the way for many small and up-and-coming suppliers by offering them the same capital as the rest of the market, giving them the chance to realize their true potential. Living our purpose of Nourishing Pakistan, cannot be possible without our stakeholders, and creating equal opportunities for them. This is yet another step we have taken to ensure that everyone across our value chain is well equipped to be part of our journey and purpose”, said Kashan Hasan – Managing Director, FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited.

Through this collaboration, eligible FCEPL suppliers will gain access to competitive and cost-effective financing against approved invoices, enabling improved liquidity and greater financial flexibility. The program is designed to support suppliers’ growth and contribute to a stronger and more resilient supply chain ecosystem.

“This partnership with FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan is a great example of how we bring Citi’s global capabilities to solve real business needs locally. By extending financing to suppliers, we are helping businesses access working capital on better terms and giving them more room to operate and grow. For us, it’s about using Citi’s network and expertise to support the businesses at the heart of our clients’ supply chains.” said Habib Yousuf, Citi Country Officer & Banking Head, Citi Pakistan.

In addition to providing value to suppliers, the partnership creates opportunities for FCEPL to further enhance its treasury and working capital management capabilities as the program evolves.

This initiative reflects the shared vision of FCEPL and Citi Pakistan to foster sustainable business growth, strengthen local enterprises, and contribute to the development of Pakistan’s corporate ecosystem.
