KARACHI: Maa Himmat Ka Nishan, a Mother’s Day campaign by Khudi Pakistan, in collaboration with NISA Block, honored the remarkable journeys of five mothers of children with disabilities at the Institute of Holistic Rehabilitation and Inclusion (IHRI). The campaign aims to highlight the resilience and determination of mothers raising children with disabilities, promoting community spirit and sustainable giving.

The five stories showcased the challenges faced by mothers raising children with disabilities, often with multiple children requiring special care. The top prize of a 100 Sq Yards plot in NISA Block was awarded to Ms. Afshan Nazeer, mother of Minahil, whose story touched the hearts of the jury. Ms. Nazeer, who works as a therapist at IHRI, was overwhelmed with emotion, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to provide a safe and dignified life for her daughter.

Mrs. Sarwat Shah, Managing Director of Zaamin Builders and Founder of Khudi Foundation, emphasized the importance of property ownership for deserving mothers, bringing meaningful change and a lasting smile to their faces. She urged corporates to think like social scientists, implementing sustainable uplift practices through CSR initiatives that promote social justice and human dignity.

Mr. Razzak Pardesi, Founder of IHRI, reaffirmed the organization’s vision to provide holistic rehabilitation facilities to all, regardless of background or economic status. The event was attended by prominent guests, including Mr. Kashif Shah, Chairman Zaamin ZTK Builders, Mr Shoaib Ghaziani, Ms AfIa Wajahat, Mr Noman Ahmedani, Mr Sarfaraz, Mr. Muhammad Noman Ahmedani, Mr. Irfan Vayani and Coordinators and therapists from IHRI’s branch network.

The Meri Maa Himmat Ka Nishan campaign serves as a testament to the power of community spirit and the importance of supporting mothers raising children with disabilities. By honoring their stories and struggles, we can work towards creating a more inclusive and compassionate society.
