The initiative reflects the cooperative’s commitment to fostering a workplace that supports health, wellbeing and quality of life.

The initiative forms part of Union Coop’s ongoing community and awareness programmes, which promote health literacy, encourage preventive practices and regular screenings, and raise awareness of the role of early detection in reducing the impact of the disease.

The first day took place at Al Warqa Majlis in collaboration with Emirates Specialty Hospital and Sultan Al Olama Medical Center. It featured an awareness session delivered by Dr. Marah Asali and Dr. Maria Awais, focusing on breast cancer and the importance of early detection.

The second day was held at Union Coop’s headquarters at Al Warqa City Mall in collaboration with Prime Medical Center, with the participation of the clinic’s medical team. The cooperative added that partnerships with healthcare providers and the contributions of supporting organisations play a vital role in the success of these initiatives and their educational objectives. It reaffirmed its commitment to introducing programmes that prioritise employee health and safety, enhance quality of life and foster a culture of preventive care.

Union Coop concluded by emphasising the importance of sustained collective efforts to raise breast cancer awareness and encourage women to undergo regular screenings in accordance with healthcare professionals’ recommendations, supporting early detection and a more health-conscious community.
