KARACHI: Memon Medical Institute Hospital (MMIH) will organize a Breast Cancer Awareness Session to mark Pink Day on Saturday, 24 October 2026, at the hospital. The session reflects MMIH’s continuing commitment to raising awareness about breast cancer and educating the general public on early detection, regular screening and timely treatment.
Dr. Saima Awan, General & Breast Surgeon, will be the speaker at the session. She will address the gathering on breast cancer awareness, early detection and the importance of timely medical care.
The session is expected to be attended by business leaders, industrialists and diplomats. Their participation reflects broad community support for a cause that affects families and society at large.
Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women, and early detection significantly improves the chances of successful treatment. Through initiatives such as this, MMIH aims to encourage informed discussion, dispel misconceptions and give the public accurate, practical information.
“Awareness is the first step towards early detection, and early detection saves lives,” said a spokesperson for MMIH. “Pink Day gives us an opportunity to bring the community together and to reinforce our commitment to educating the public about breast cancer.”
MMIH encourages women to seek timely screening and medical advice, and provides mammography services at the hospital.
