KARACHI: Counsellor at the Consulate of Indonesia in Karachi, Dian Ratri Astuti, along with other officials of the consulate, visited the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah, Director of ICCBS, welcomed the counsellor and her team to the center.
An ICCBS spokesperson stated on Tuesday that during her visit, Dian Ratri Astuti held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah.
During the meeting, the Indonesian counsellor commended ICCBS for its contributions to science and research in the Muslim World. She also discussed matters of mutual interest in the fields of science, research, and academia.
Earlier, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah gave a detailed briefing on the extensive scientific and research activities being carried out at ICCBS, University of Karachi.
The ICCBS Director provided an overview of the establishment, growth, and contributions of ICCBS in the fields of molecular medicine, drug research, and forensic science.
Speaking about the UNESCO Chair established at ICCBS, University of Karachi, he said that it promotes international inter-university cooperation and networking and enhances institutional capacity through knowledge sharing and collaborative research.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Raza Shah thanked the Indonesian officials for visiting the international center. At the end of the visit, the Indonesian delegation toured different research buildings and research facilities at ICCBS.
