KARACHI: Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), together with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and three local tourism industry partners, held a series of tourism promotion events in Pakistan with the participation of Pakistani partners, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Airblue.
The events were held in Lahore on 15 September, Karachi on 17 September and Islamabad on 19 September, bringing together more than 360 representatives from Pakistan’s tourism sector.
The initiative aimed to promote Azerbaijan’s tourism potential and expand cooperation with Pakistan’s tourism sector. Participants were introduced to Azerbaijan’s historical and cultural heritage, winter tourism and ski resorts, health tourism and ecotourism opportunities. The programme also featured a dedicated presentation on Shusha’s designation as the Tourism Capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization for 2026.
B2B meetings between Azerbaijani and Pakistani tourism industry representatives provided a platform to discuss cooperation and partnership opportunities and develop new business connections between the two markets.
