KARACHI: Global Memon Organization (GMO), hosted by Mrs. Rehana Hanif, organized a vibrant women-only cooking competition celebrating the talent, creativity and culinary skills of home chefs and young aspiring cooks. Representing Biz Today International on behalf of Executive Editor Rafiq Vayani, Musfirah Ahmed of Feast Flavour attended the event and praised the organizers for creating a comfortable and encouraging platform exclusively for women and girls. The competition featured two categories, Main Course and Desserts with 50 participants presenting a diverse range of dishes, including Desi, Chinese, Italian, rice and curry specialties, along with an impressive variety of desserts and baked creations.

The exceptional presentation, hygiene and attention to detail displayed by the participants made the event particularly memorable, with many tables reflecting a professional, restaurant-style presentation. Musfirah Ahmed observed that the participants demonstrated such a high level of confidence and creativity that they appeared more like professional chefs than home cooks.

The event also highlighted the importance of providing opportunities for women and young girls to develop and showcase their talents. Participants as young as 13, 16 and 17 years old demonstrated that culinary passion and potential exist across generations. Chef Farah and Chef Sherish served as judges and professionally evaluated the entries before announcing the results, while renowned Chef Gulzar hosted the stage, presented Hamdard and conducted an informative cooking session focused on improving culinary skills and enhancing food businesses. Sponsored brands also contributed gifts for guests, participants, winners and runners-up, adding further excitement to the occasion.

Musfirah Ahmed congratulated Mrs. Rehana Hanif and the entire GMO team for their dedication and excellent organization, saying the initiative provided home chefs with a valuable platform to polish their skills, gain confidence and move forward. She expressed hope that more organizations will organize similar initiatives, enabling women and young aspiring chefs to turn their passion into successful culinary careers.
