KARACHI: The Consul of Italy in Karachi, Fabrizio Bielli, hosted a networking event to connect with selected reporters, editors, journalists, and media representatives, acknowledging the media fraternity’s dedication and hard work. During the event, Consul Fabrizio Bielli expressed appreciation for their essential role in society, highlighting their continuous efforts to report events objectively and responsibly.
Guests engaged in discussions with the Consul about the initiatives undertaken by the Italian Consulate during his tenure, focusing on the bilateral engagement between Italy and Pakistan, particularly in the economic and commercial sectors within the area of jurisdiction of the Italian Mission in Karachi, i.e. the province of Sindh and Baluchistan. Emphasizing the importance of strengthening these ties, the Consul of Italy reiterated his commitment to enhancing bilateral economic, trade, and investment relations between Italy and Pakistan, with the aim of doubling the current trade volume to at least $3 billion in the coming years.
“Italy is a global leader in producing high-quality machinery for the textile industry, as well as advanced medical equipment, including incubators for new-borns. We are well-positioned to support Pakistan in addressing its growing healthcare infrastructure needs,” he stated.
The Consul also expressed gratitude to the journalist community for their invaluable support and for consistently promoting a positive image of Italy through their media outlets, thus helping to strengthen the bond between the two nations.
