DUBAI: As the 2023 Dubai Airshow came to a close, two luxury vehicles winners were announced in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise promotion at the draw held today at the Dubai Airshow site in Dubai World Central.
Mr. Alexander Podgorny, a 38-year-old Russian national based in Sharjah, became a proud owner of a Mercedes Benz G63 (Polar White), with ticket number 2377 in Finest Surprise Series 1854, which he purchased online on 23rd October.
A resident resident of Sharjah since 2002, Mr. Podgorny is a regular participant in the Dubai Duty Free promotion for 4 years now and ran a trading spare parts company in Sharjah.
“Thank you Dubai Duty Free! I’m super happy and excited to see my winning car,” he said.
Lastly, Mr. Manfred Klaubauf, a 69-year-old Austrian national based in Vienna, won an Indian FTR R Carbon (Silver Black Carbon Fiber) motorbike, with ticket number 0913 in Finest Surprise Series 556, which he purchased online on 27th October.
A retiree, Klaubauf is a third time winner with Dubai Duty Free as he previously won a BMW 750Li Executive car in May 2011 and a BMW S 1000 R motorbike in December 2020.
“It’s the best promotion in the world! Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free!” he said.
Today’s Finest Surprise draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free’s Chief Operating Officer, Ramesh Cidambi and Salah Tahlak, Joint COO, along with Hazel Punongbayan, Duty Manager, Evangeline Minas, Duty Officer and Saravanan Ulagappan, Duty Officer.
The operation has a total of four luxury vehicles sharing the limelight with the latest aircraft at the Dubai Airshow and conducted the draw over four days including one Millennium Millionaire Series promotion.
