Pakistan ranks 41 in the world in chemistry

Research.com has announced that the institution with the highest number of leading researchers in Pakistan is University of Karachi with 4 scientists affiliated with it being featured in Research.com’s Chemistry ranking.

Research.com has also declared that with 12 scholars in the same field Pakistan ranks in spot 41 in the world.

The spokesman of the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, on Friday, said, “Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Director of the ICCBS, University of Karachi, and COMSTECH Coordinator-General, is featured as the best researcher in Pakistan in Research.com’s ranking with a D-index of 74.

The top-ranked scientists include Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, ICCBS Patron-in-Chief and former Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Khalid Muhammad Khan (ICCBS), and Dr. Abdul Hameed.

It is pertinent to mention here that Research.com’s best scientists ranking is a reliable account of the leading scholars of Chemistry, created using a detailed examination of 166,880 scholars discovered from a variety of bibliometric data sources. However, in the field of Chemistry, as many as 43178 researchers were examined.

Karachi University’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Iraqi has congratulated all four scholars of the university for their outstanding achievements.
