etisalat by e& today announced one of the largest Wi-Fi 6e deployments in partnership with Aruba Networks, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, at Fairmont Dubai, Fairmont Ajman and Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort.

The new partnership will provide managed WiFi and a wireless network solution that enables guests to access excellent and fast digital entertainment services, using the latest Wi-Fi 6e technology.

Fairmont Dubai, Fairmont Ajman and Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort will also benefit from low latency, wireless access speed and advanced levels of security through the implementation of the simple and easily adaptable turnkey solution, with automated provisioning to adapt to changing needs.

In recent years, customer demand for online streaming capability, intelligent connectivity solutions and access to a range of applications and devices has grown tremendously. With instant access to communications, services and information, guests are also looking for greater flexibility when it comes to using their own devices for content streaming, communicating seamlessly with hotel staff for their requests and using new in-room controls.

With the deployment of Wi-Fi 6e, reliable connectivity at Fairmont Dubai, Fairmont Ajman and Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort will allow guests to continue to enjoy their increasingly digital lifestyles, while benefiting from a seamless and interconnected technology experience.

Oscar Garcia, Senior Vice President, Business Marketing, etisalat by e&, said: “Today, hoteliers need to ensure that their services meet the entertainment and productivity needs of guests by closing any gaps in coverage or inadequate performance. This is where Wi-Fi 6e offers ultimate efficiency, higher throughput and the highest level of security to meet the new challenges of the digital age in the hospitality industry.

“As a company that introduced the industry’s first enterprise-grade Wi-Fi 6E solution, Aruba is at the forefront of innovation. Our technologies give hoteliers the edge in engaging with their guests and employees. Aruba AIOps helps automate and optimise networks and application performance; our location services make an entire hospitality venue location-smart; Aruba also integrates ZigBee and BLE into its Access Points to enable new and multiple IoT use cases. We are delighted to have implemented our cutting-edge technology at the Fairmont Dubai, Fairmont Ajman, and Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort, in partnership with etisalat by e&. We believe that the network will serve as a platform for innovation in the future,” said Zeeshan Hadi – UAE Country Manager for Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company.

“Fairmont Dubai, Fairmont Ajman, and Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort have continuously been in the forefront in digital transformation when it comes to providing the best services to the guests. We work hard to provide the most cutting-edge technologies, and we started by shifting all of our systems to the cloud in order to expedite processes and enhance the guest experience. The Internet is currently considered to be one of the most important things, right up there with water and air. We are concentrating on offering the highest connection quality, speed, and stability that is humanly possible to accomplish, and with etisalat by e&, we will continue to offer our guests the most latest technology.” said Rami Kamar, Cluster IT Manager of Fairmont Dubai, Fairmont Ajman, and Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort.

The UAE is the first country in the Middle East and Africa and the fifth in the world to open up the 6 GHz radio spectrum for local wireless networks, opening up new opportunities for the ICT sector. The opening of the 6 GHz frequency band in the UAE has laid the foundation for the latest Wi-Fi 6e standard, doubling the available system capacity pivot compared to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. These traditional bands previously faced congestion while avoiding interference from non-Wi-Fi devices such as cordless phones and wireless speakers.
