FORT WORTH, Texas: American Airlines and STARLUX Airlines have launched a new codeshare partnership to enhance flight options between North America and Taipei. Under the partnership, travelers can book select STARLUX-operated flights between the Western U.S. and Taipei.
“Taipei remains a top destination for global business, visiting friends and family and leisure travel, and together with STARLUX Airlines, we’re partnering to provide new travel options,” said American’s Senior Vice President of Alliances Anmol Bhargava. “This collaboration strengthens our global network and unlocks new competitive itineraries. We look forward to working with STARLUX on opportunities to make the journey even more rewarding for customers.”
AAdvantage® members can earn miles and Loyalty Points when booking an American codeshare flight operated by STARLUX. American and STARLUX will work together on future opportunities including mileage redemption and additional travel benefits.

Growing trans-Pacific access: Taipei is one of Asia’s must-visit cities. In addition, this partnership will also support growing trans-Pacific business ties for major industries such as semiconductors.
American will place its code on STARLUX-operated flights to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Ontario International Airport (ONT), San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
American will also place its code on STARLUX-operated flights between Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) and TPE pending regulatory approvals.
The journey is just as important as the destination. As American continues to elevate the travel experience with new onboard products and amenities designed around customer comfort, it is also partnering with airlines that offer unique and premium experiences. STARLUX Airlines offers customers a unique experience that introduces travelers to the lively spirit and friendly hospitality of Taipei from the moment they board the aircraft.
Under this partnership, customers will be able to tailor their itinerary with Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class options on STARLUX available for purchase on aa.com or American’s mobile app. STARLUX offers customer-friendly amenities on board including lie-flat seats featuring a privacy door in Business Class and a leg rest and retractable footrest in Premium Economy, similar to American’s offerings on its new Boeing 787-9 and retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
