The music of upcoming Pakistani movie ‘HUEY TUM AJNABI’ scheduled to be released on Eid ul Fitr was launched here earlier today at a jam-packed media event.
Attended by the hugely talented director and scriptwriter Kamran Shahid, and an exceptional star cast that included Suhail Ahmed, Alyy Khan, Shamoon Abbasi, Mehmood Aslam and Mikaal Zulfiqar, the media wall was abuzz with eager photographers and cameramen trying to capture one or the other celebrity through their lens.
Once inside the cinema hall, the programme started with a video presentation of the title song, Huey Tum Ajnabi. Composed by internationally renowned flute master and music composer Baqir Abbass, the song has been brilliantly rendered by no other than the amazing Ali Zafar.
The video of the title song was followed by a 13-minute visual presentation comprising shots from the film as well clips of two more songs. The romantic war saga boasts as many as eleven ditties with heart-touching music by legends such as the Queen of Sufi Music Abida Perveen, Baqir Abass, Sahir Ali Bugga, Nijat and Naveed Nashaad. Other than Ali Zafar, the line-up of ace singers providing the musical score includes the likes of Abida Parveen and Asim Azhar.
After the presentation the cast and crew present were available to answer the many questions put forth by the media, both in the hall, and later on the red carpet.
The star-studded romantic epic, with the 1971 war between Pakistan and India forming a unique and historic backdrop to an intense love story, stars Sadia Khan in the role of the female protagonist, opposite Mikaal Zulfiqar. Other veteran stars include Shafqat Cheema, Samina Pirzada, Ayesha Omar, Adnan Jillani and Shahid. The film is being distributed by Mandviwalla Entertainment in Pakistan and produced by Shahid Films.
