DUBAI: Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) today organised awareness activities to mark the ‘International Day of Sign Languages’ observed on 23 September every year, and held this year under the theme ‘Sign Languages Unite Us’.

“We at Dubai World Trade Centre are proud to support the National Policy to Empower People of Determination, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to create an inclusive society and empower People of Determination from different walks of life,” said Mahir Abdulkarim Julfar, Executive Vice President of Venue Services Management at DWTC.

“We advocate the International Day of Sign Languages as an opportunity to celebrate the diversity, richness, and vibrancy of sign languages and promote greater inclusivity in our society. We thank Pomegranate Institute for their partnership and support towards this initiative,” concluded Julfar.
