National Women Para Sports – 2021 concludes successfully

KARACHI: Pakistan Blind Sports Federation in collaboration with RCC BINAE AVENUE and 360 Digital Eyes organized National Women Para Sports – 2021. This event was held from 29th March to 3rd April 2021. Waqas Warraich, PBSF and Mr. Salman Elahi, General Secretary of PBSF and President of RCC BINAE Avenue, Babar Hussain, Founder/ Chief Executive 360 Digital Eyes have worked very hard in putting this event together.

We can proudly say that this event for the visually impaired is the first of its kind in the history of Pakistan. Visually impaired, female athletes from all over Pakistan participated in it. The training camps of Para Games were held at the National Coaching Center Karachi. The female blind athletes were invited from several different regions of Pakistan. After shortlisting, 21 female blind athletes were finalized from each region with seven officials to support these female blind athletes, so there are 21 blind athletes along with 10 volunteers. The sports that will be trained in this camp are Football, Archery & Athletics.

There was an opening ceremony held on 29th March 2021 where all participants marched, and the organization team gave speeches. Training camps started from 30th March 2021 where participants were trained in sports like judo, archery, football, and athletics. On the 3rd of April, final rounds of all these games were held through which winners of each game were selected. A closing ceremony was also held in the evening where our chief guest and many other prominent figures came and addressed the participants. All participants were presented certificates and medals for their efforts and hard work.

We are thankful of all media houses for being present at the National Coaching Center to cover our event which was held on 3rd April 2021 from 5 to 8 pm at National Coaching Center. Mr. Nawab Muhammad Taimoor Talpoor, Minister of Information, Science, and Technology Department of Sindh was our Chief Guest along with Mr. Muhammad Yousuf, Director General Information, Science & Technology Department Government of Sindh for the closing ceremony. Many other prominent figures related to politics and Corporate sector were a part of this event.
