It was very exciting to visit the new grid station. K-Electric and Siemens’ continued association beckons a promising future for Karachi’s energy future, and I look forward to seeing more such collaborations between these two energy giants.”

On the occasion, Mr. Dale Sinker, Chief Generation & Transmission Officer said; “Set up at an investment of nearly USD 14 million, the Mehmoodabad grid station augments Karachi’s transmission capability by 80 MVA with the capability to expand further. This grid will improve power reliability for over 30,000 residents located in Baloch Colony and Mehmoodabad areas and is part of K-Electric’s on-going efforts to strengthen Karachi’s power future.”

Speaking at the event, Mr. Markus Strohmeier, Managing Director, Siemens Pakistan said, “I would like to appreciate the efforts of the entire team that contributed towards the completion of this project and would like to reiterate Siemens support to K-Electric in its efforts to address the energy needs of Karachi.”
