KARACHI: Conflict and violence have displaced more than 68 million people globally, and half of those are children. Never before the need for Conflict Prevention has been as high as it is today, as ongoing conflicts continue to remain unresolved across the South West Asia and beyond.
In view of the deteriorating global situation, and the imperative to take action Rotary International DISTRICT 3271 is organizing a Virtual Online Conference on “Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution on Saturday, September 26, 2020 – from 4.00 to 8.00 p.m.
Rotary District Governor Prof Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah, would like to welcome the Chief Guest and all the conference delegates at this event.
Rotary International President Holger Knaack will be the Chief Guest at this conference and will deliver the Keynote address.
There will be two Sessions in this with National and International speakers:
- Session1: This will focus on Peace globally, and on developing recommendations for prevention of conflicts and the promotion of peace (4:00 – 6:00 pm)
- Session 2: This will focus on prevention of conflicts in South Asia – specifically India, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Afghanistan
- (6:00 to 7:45 pm)
