DUBAI: Employees of Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, recently visited the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS), a non-profit organisation working to serve people with disabilities (people of determination) and promote their integration into mainstream society.
Representatives of the bank presented gifts to children at SCHS and spent the day interacting with them during art workshops and other activities. Emirates Islamic staff also raised awareness among the children about the importance of healthy eating and nutrition.
Emirates Islamic is an active contributor to community health and development initiatives, with the bank’s staff regularly volunteering for a range of community support activities across the UAE. The bank also supports charitable causes via the Emirates Islamic Charity Fund, which provides financial aid under several main areas, including food, shelter, health, education and social welfare to large charities, public and private institutions, as well as individuals in need.
