KARACHI: The 14th Annual Convocation of the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology was held on 9th December 2017 at the PAF Convention Centre. The Chief guest on the occasion was Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.
The Convocation was an impressive ceremony attended by more than 3000 people including SZABIST Board of Governors, Board of Trustees, Chancellor, President, Vice Presidents, faculty, staff, graduates their parents, press and electronic media, supporters.
Chancellor Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho opened the Convocation and President Shahnaz Wazir Ali conferred degrees to 465 undergraduate students,558 Masters Students and 4 PhD Degrees from the disciplines of Management Science, Social Science, Media Science, Bioscience, Mechatronics Engineering and Computer Science.
Twelve Academic Gold Medals were awarded; recipients were Sana Shakeel (BBA), Talha Amin (BSCS), Duaa Ahmed (BS-Biosciences), Hafsa Mir (BEME), Hina Naz (MBA), Hina Qadir (MBA), Sarah William (EMBA), Javeriah Almani (MPM), Nida Abaad Elias (BSSS), S Eliya Raza (BMS), Hussain Muhammad (BS-Biosciences) and Sumaiya Shafi Rahu (MoA).
Eleven Academic Silver Medals were awarded: recipients were Farheen Saleem (BABS), Yousuf Tahir (BSCS), Afreen Damani (BSSS), Marium Altaf (BS-Biosciences), Iqra Awais (MBA B&F), Anam (MoA), Muhammad Imran (MPH), Fazila Gul Faqeer Muhammad (MS-Biosciences), Mashmuma (MSCS), Sumaira Siddique (MSMS) and Nimra Mir (MSPM).
