DUBAI: The Youth Council of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched the ‘My Family, My Source of Happiness’ initiative to strengthen family bonds between employees and their children, in line with the Year of the Family in the UAE. Through the initiative, employees’ children can share messages of love and gratitude with their parents via Microsoft Teams, promoting family communication and supporting young employees in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
“In line with the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, DEWA is committed to fostering a happy and positive work environment and strengthening family bonds as the cornerstone of a cohesive and prosperous society. Families are the foundation for developing individuals, instilling values and reinforcing national identity. As digital transformation accelerates and technology plays an increasingly central role in children’s lives, DEWA harnesses modern technologies to empower its young employees to strengthen communication with their children, fulfil their educational and social responsibilities, and enhance the quality of life and happiness of their families. This supports family stability as a key pillar of sustainable development,” said Aysha Mohammad Alremeithi, President of DEWA’s Youth Council.
