KARACHI: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Karachi, organized a vibrant cultural evening featuring the Sri Lankan dance performance “Kanya.” The event was attended by Consul General of Sri Lanka His Excellency, Sanjeewa Pattiwila, President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah, diplomats from various countries, consuls general, business leaders, and distinguished guests. The ceremony commenced with the national anthems of Pakistan and Sri Lanka, symbolizing the strong and friendly ties between the two nations.

Following Sri Lankan tradition, the chief guests participated in the ceremonial lighting of the oil lamp, a symbol of friendship, unity, and cultural harmony. Among the notable attendees were FRG Group CEO Mohammad Dochki, SriLankan Airlines Country Manager Ruwan Wijekoon, diplomatic representatives, and members of the business community. The cultural program aimed to further strengthen people-to-people connections and promote cultural exchange between Pakistan and Sri Lanka through the shared appreciation of art, heritage, and tradition.
