KARACHI: The Consulate of Malaysia in Karachi was delighted to take part in the vibrant Songkran Festival hosted by the Royal Thai Consulate.
Held at IVY Tower, the celebration beautifully brought Thailand’s rich cultural heritage to life through traditional rituals, lively water festivities, and an impressive spread of authentic Thai cuisine.
The event was officiated by H.E. Surashete Boontinand, who highlighted the importance of Songkran in fostering cultural understanding and connecting the people of Karachi with Thailand’s traditions.
It was a pleasure to engage with fellow members of the diplomatic community, including Mr. Herman Hardynata Ahmad, along with many other distinguished guests.
One of the most heartwarming moments was watching children fully immersed in the joyful water celebrations—perfectly capturing the true spirit of Songkran.
