KARACHI: Okhai Memon Jamat (OMJ) in collaboration with Memon Medical Institute Hospital (MMIH) is organizing an important Breast Cancer Awareness Program on Saturday, 18th April, 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Husein Ebrahim Sports Complex & Community Centre, Hussainabad, Block 3, F.B Area, Karachi, aimed at promoting early detection and preventive healthcare among women of the community.
The awareness seminar will feature an informative session by Dr. Saima Awan, General & Breast Surgeon (MMI Hospital), who will highlight the importance of early diagnosis, self-examination, and timely medical consultation. A Free Breast Examination Check-Up facility will also be available for participants as part of the program.
According to Shahid Hussain Gatta, Chairman Health Committee, the initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to promoting health awareness and encouraging women to take proactive steps toward early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
Mrs. Shehnaz Shahid Gatta, Program Coordinator of the event, emphasized that the session is specially designed to educate women and families about the importance of regular screening and awareness for a healthier future.
Muhammad Arif Suriya, Hon. General Secretary, Okhai Memon Jamat, also encouraged community members to ensure maximum participation in this meaningful health initiative and benefit from expert medical guidance.
