KARACHI, 4 April 2026: Tourism Malaysia continued its dynamic participation on Day 2 of Pakistan Travel Mart 2026 (PTM 2026) at the Karachi Expo Centre, reinforcing its strategic re-engagement with Pakistan’s travel trade and consumer market.

The Malaysia Pavilion remained a key attraction, featuring strong engagement from travel partners and visitors while highlighting Malaysia’s diverse tourism offerings aligned with PTM 2026’s theme, “Shaping the Future of Travel: Innovation, Sustainability & Global Connectivity.” The presence of His Excellency Mr. Herman Hardynata Ahmad, Consul General of Malaysia in Karachi, Mr. Mohd Faharuddin Hatmin, Director, Tourism Malaysia, and Ms. Mohana Murni Shanmugam, Deputy Director, Tourism Malaysia, further underscored Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral tourism ties and expanding collaboration opportunities with Pakistani stakeholders.

Tourism Malaysia’s delegation of eight tourism organisations actively participated in structured B2B meetings, networking engagements, and media interactions, focusing on developing market-ready travel packages, enhancing distribution partnerships, and promoting new growth segments such as MICE, educational tourism, leisure travel, and halal-friendly tourism experiences. The pavilion also featured engaging destination presentations and consumer outreach initiatives promoting direct air connectivity and collaborative marketing efforts with Pakistani travel partners, supporting continued momentum toward Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026).

Adding vibrancy to the exhibition atmosphere, traditional Malaysian cultural performances captivated audiences and showcased Malaysia’s rich multicultural heritage, strengthening destination appeal among trade visitors and consumers alike.

Tourism Malaysia’s participation at PTM 2026 continues to serve as an important platform to deepen partnerships, promote sustainable tourism initiatives, and position Malaysia as a preferred destination for Pakistani travellers, while also building anticipation for the upcoming Islamabad Roadshow scheduled from 7–8 April 2026.
