Indonesia’s 6th Vice President Try Sutrisno Passes Away

The 6th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia General (Ret.) H. Try Sutrisno passed away date: 2 March 2026.

General (Ret.) H. Try Sutrisno served as the 6th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia from 1993 to 1998 alongside President Soeharto. Born in Surabaya on 15 November 1935, he devoted many years to public service prior to assuming the vice presidency. During his tenure, he supported the implementation of national development policies in the 1990s and contributed to maintaining governmental stability during a significant period in Indonesia’s political history.

A Condolence Book will be opened at the premises of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, located at E/1-5, Shahrah-e-Iran, Clifton, Karachi, for a period of three (3) days, according to the following schedule:

2nd – 4th March 2026
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 р.m.
1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
