DUBAI: The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Youth Council organised an interactive trip to Mushrif Park in Dubai, with the participation of 60 young employees. The event featured a variety of sports, recreational and environmental activities aimed at strengthening community ties and encouraging meaningful engagement with nature.

“In line with the National Youth Agenda 2031, DEWA’s Youth Council delivers integrated experiences that promote well-being while encouraging healthy, active and environmentally responsible lifestyles. These initiatives aim to enhance the happiness and productivity of young people while reflecting the UAE’s authentic and deeply rooted values and heritage.

The nation’s vision places a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship, integrating sustainability at its core and safeguarding resources for both current and future generations. The council plays a key role in fostering a culture of environmental responsibility among the young people and empowering them to adopt sustainable practices that protect the environment and the biodiversity,” said Aysha Mohammad Alremeithi, DEWA’s Youth Council President.

The activities included cycling and a tour of Mushrif Park, alongside a range of initiatives aimed at raising awareness among young people about the importance of conserving natural spaces and ecosystems, in support of effective sustainable and climate action.
