KARACHI: Khawaja Bilal Mansoor, a social activist, educationist and industrialist, who previously served as the first elected President of the Youth Parliament, President of Insaf Youth Wing Karachi and Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi, has joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Khawaja Bilal Mansoor met PPP Women’s Wing Central President Faryal Talpur and expressed confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari before formally joining the party.
He was previously associated with PTI where he served as President of Insaf Youth Wing Karachi and Senior Vice President of PTI Karachi. Referring to the prevailing political situation, he said he had decided to continue his political work under the platform of the PPP to play a more effective role in youth welfare and development.
Khawaja Bilal Mansoor has also served as the first elected President of the Youth Parliament and was part of the Youth Parliament Sindh Cabinet. During his association with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), he headed several key committees. He has contributed in the fields of education, industry and social development.
He has received several national-level awards for his work with youth. Former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf acknowledged his services while former Sindh governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad Khan also commended his efforts in youth welfare.
Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani, MPA Suhail Anwar Siyal and Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Murad were present at the meeting. The PPP leadership welcomed Khawaja Bilal Mansoor’s induction into the party. Says in press release
