DUBAI: The beauty industry’s next transformation may not come from a new cream or cosmetic line but from biotechnology. Leading that shift is Ankiti Bose, Founder and CEO of Terra Invest, who has launched Shookra Aesthetics, a regenerative clinic in Dubai’s Business Bay that combines AI, biotechnology, and beauty science to tackle ageing at its source the cell.

Bose’s vision comes at a time when data-driven wellness is reshaping the global beauty landscape. According to Grand View Research, the global beauty-tech market is valued at USD 66.16 billion in 2024 and projected to reach USD 172.99 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of nearly 18%. In the UAE, the sector is set to more than double from USD 700.7 million in 2024 to USD 1,579.5 million by 2030, with AI emerging as the largest revenue-generating segment.

“Shookra is where beauty meets biohacking,” said Ankiti Bose. “We harness AI to transform aesthetics into measurable biology. The future of beauty is not cosmetic it’s cellular.”

At Shookra Aesthetics, AI-powered diagnostics analyse over 200 data points from a single facial scan, linking visible skin indicators to biomarkers such as inflammation, hormonal balance, and cellular health. These insights inform personalised treatment programs that may include exosome facials, peptide therapy, and IV infusions, each monitored and refined by Shookra’s adaptive AI model to optimise results over time.
