KARACHI: The Okhai Memon Jamat (OMJ) successfully organized an impactful awareness session on divorce at the Husain Ebrahim Sports Complex, Hussainabad, Federal B. Area, Karachi. The event, attended by an audience of around 300 participants, aimed to address the social, emotional, and legal dimensions of divorce within the community.
The session featured Mrs. Asiya Shoaib, a highly qualified Alimah, as the keynote speaker. She holds a two-year Dars-e-Nizami certification from Anwar-ul-Madaris and a six-year Alimah degree from Jamia Salehat. With her profound understanding of Islamic jurisprudence, Mrs. Shoaib delivered a deeply informative and empathetic talk, guiding participants on various issues related to family life through the lens of the Quran and Hadith.
Currently serving as a teacher at Jamia Mariam lil Banat, Mrs. Shoaib also conducts Tafseer (Quranic exegesis) classes at multiple institutions and online platforms. Her engaging session emphasized the importance of awareness, compassion, and knowledge-based decision-making in addressing marital challenges.
The program was organized under the supervision of Shahid Adam Kath, Chairman of the Social Welfare Committee, coordinated by Mrs. Shahnaz Shahid Gatta and Irfan Nisar Gaba.
The event was well received, reflecting OMJ’s continued commitment to community education, family well-being, and social harmony.
