KUALA LUMPUR: Tourism Malaysia successfully concluded the Global Travel Meet 2025, held from 1–3 October at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur. The three-day event gathered international travel professionals, media representatives, and tourism stakeholders, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a premier global tourism destination.

The summit featured business networking sessions, destination showcases, and knowledge-sharing forums, highlighting Malaysia’s diverse tourism offerings for the upcoming year.

On the final day, Tourism Malaysia curated a special technical tour for international media representatives at the renowned Restoran Rebung by Chef Ismail. The highlight of the experience was an exclusive cooking demonstration by celebrity Chef Dato’ Haji Ismail Ahmad, who is celebrated for his role in promoting authentic Malaysian cuisine.
The morning began with “Breakfast with Chef Ismail”, where participants were treated to traditional Malaysian dishes prepared and explained by the chef himself, offering a deeper appreciation of the country’s rich culinary heritage. The session provided international delegates with firsthand cultural immersion, blending gastronomy with storytelling.

Tourism Malaysia emphasized that such curated experiences aim to showcase the country’s hospitality, flavors, and cultural diversity, aligning with its strategy to promote Malaysia as a must-visit destination in 2026 and beyond.

The Global Travel Meet 2025 concluded on a high note, leaving international delegates inspired by Malaysia’s blend of tradition, modernity, and warm hospitality.
