KARACHI: The Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi successfully organised the MTCP Alumni Annual Get-Together and Interactive Session on International Relations with Students of the University of Karachi at the Consulate General.
The programme brought together 15 MTCP alumni, distinguished guests, and 30 university students and lecturers, providing an opportunity to strengthen people-to-people ties, foster meaningful engagement, and promote a deeper understanding of Malaysia’s international relations and diplomatic engagement.

The MTCP Alumni Annual Get-Together aimed to reconnect with Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) alumni, learn about their current professional activities, achievements, and contributions, and maintain a strong network with former programme participants. The initiative reflects Malaysia’s continued commitment to nurturing lasting relationships with alumni and strengthening cooperation through knowledge-sharing and professional networking.
Meanwhile, the Interactive Session on International Relations with Students of the University of Karachi provided students with insights into the roles and functions of Malaysian diplomatic missions abroad, including embassies and consulates. The session introduced the responsibilities of Malaysian representatives in protecting the interests of Malaysia and its citizens, promoting bilateral relations, facilitating economic and cultural cooperation, and strengthening diplomatic engagement with host countries.

The interactive session also offered a valuable platform for students to exchange ideas, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of diplomacy and international affairs, while highlighting the importance of educational exchanges and mutual understanding in strengthening the longstanding friendship between Malaysia and Pakistan.
The Consulate General of Malaysia extends its sincere appreciation to the MTCP alumni, the University of Karachi, and all participants for their active participation and valuable contributions to the success of the programme.
Through initiatives such as the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), Malaysia remains committed to sharing knowledge and expertise, fostering international cooperation, and building enduring partnerships with developing countries.
Connecting alumni, inspiring future leaders, and strengthening Malaysia–Pakistan relations through education, diplomacy, and cooperation.
