Rotary International Installs Water Filtration Plant at Pir Wadhai with Support from Japan

KARACHI: A Water Filtration Plant has been installed at Bokara Road, Pir Wadhai Rawalpindi with the generous support of Mr. Yasunori Kobayashi, Rotary Club of Tokyo- Mukojima, Japan.

The water filtration plant was inaugurated on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 4.30 pm by the President Rotary International Francesco Arezzo, Rotary Foundation Chair Holgar Knaack, Chair International PolioPlus Committee, Mike McGovern and National Chair PNPPC Aziz Memon.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Rotarians. A symbolic key was presented to AG Nosherwan Khalil, who provided the space and completed the construction work, and will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plant.
