DUBAI: Lufthansa has been named “Best Airline – Europe” at the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards 2026.
This award was presented in Singapore and recognises leading companies across Asia’s travel and tourism industry. Winners were selected through votes from travel trade professionals across the region.
According to Gilles Burgat, General Manager, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei:
“Being named Best Airline (Europe) by Travel Weekly Asia is a tremendous honour and a testament to the trust our customers and travel partners place in Lufthansa. As we celebrate 100 years of Lufthansa, we are simultaneously looking ahead with the recent introduction of our Future Onboard Experience (FOX) and the new Allegris cabin, which will commence service to Singapore from October. Together, these investments represent our commitment to setting new standards in premium travel and delivering an even more personalized experience for our customers.”
Lufthansa continues to strengthen its presence across Asia while investing substantially in its long-haul customer experience. Central to this is the ongoing introduction of Lufthansa Allegris, the airline’s new generation of travel products across First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class. The first Lufthansa Allegris flights to Southeast Asia arrive in both Singapore and the newly launched destination of Kuala Lumpur on October 26th, 2026.
Lufthansa is also further developing its connectivity between Asia and its European hubs, providing customers with access to Lufthansa Group’s extensive network across Europe and beyond.
The Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards recognise outstanding organisations across the airline, hospitality, cruise, destination and travel services sectors. The 2026 awards included 46 categories and were determined by readers and travel industry professionals across Asia.
