In a remarkable initiative combining beauty, wellness, and social responsibility, Naheed Khan Studio, in collaboration with Sparks Business Club (SBC), hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar on 17 October 2026, bringing women together for an afternoon dedicated to awareness, prevention, support, and hope. The event marked what the organisers described as a first for Pakistan’s salon industry, positioning a salon as a platform for meaningful health awareness and community engagement.

Held at Naheed Khan Studio, the seminar reflected the vision of Naheed Khan, whose commitment to creating a space that goes beyond beauty and personal care helped bring this important initiative to life. Working alongside the leadership of Sparks Business Club, including Syeda Rafia, Chair of SBC, and Naghma Akeel, President of SBC, the event demonstrated how collaboration between businesses and community leaders can create opportunities for education, empowerment, and social impact.

The seminar featured two distinguished speakers, Dr. Sadaf Safwan, a paediatrician associated with Habib Medical Centre and Rahim Hospital, and Sadaf KT, founder of Yoga With Sadaf KT, holistic wellness professional, and nutritionist and a self-discovery and meditation theraphy session conducted by Naghma Akeel. The three of them contributed to the event’s focus on awareness and wellbeing, offering attendees an opportunity to engage with important health-related conversations in a supportive environment.

Dr. Sadaf Safwan’s awareness session was particularly well received, emerging as a highlight of the afternoon. Her engaging presentation resonated strongly with the audience, making the subject accessible and encouraging greater awareness of breast cancer and the importance of taking women’s health seriously.

One of the most moving parts of the seminar was the participation of breast cancer survivors Mrs Zareen, Mrs Shahnaz, and Mrs Rukhsana, who courageously shared their personal journeys. Their stories offered a powerful message of resilience, strength, and perseverance. For the women in attendance, hearing these firsthand experiences was deeply motivating, reinforcing the importance of continuing to move forward for themselves and their families, even when life presents extraordinary challenges. Their presence served as a reminder that behind every diagnosis is a human story, and that compassion, encouragement, and support can make a meaningful difference.

Following the awareness session, guests enjoyed a refreshing hi-tea that carried forward the event’s emphasis on wellness. Summaiya, a yoga instructor and guest at the event, contributed healthy yoghurt bowls and detox drinks, adding a nourishing touch to the gathering. Naheed Khan also arranged tea and snacks for the attendees, ensuring that the afternoon offered an opportunity for conversation, connection, and community alongside its educational purpose.

The event concluded with the distribution of thoughtfully prepared goody bags containing haircare products sponsored by Silky, Selective, Nouvelle, and Nisa Institute. Their contributions added a special touch to the occasion and reflected the spirit of collaboration among businesses supporting a cause that affects women and families across society.

Through this initiative, Naheed Khan Studio and Sparks Business Club demonstrated that spaces traditionally associated with beauty and lifestyle can also become platforms for awareness, advocacy, and positive social change. By bringing healthcare professionals, wellness advocates, survivors, and community leaders together under one roof, the seminar created an environment where knowledge was shared, personal experiences were honoured, and women were encouraged to support one another.

The event was more than an awareness seminar; it was a celebration of courage, compassion, and collective responsibility. With Naheed Khan’s hospitality and vision, and the leadership and collaboration of Syeda Rafia, Naghma Akeel, and Sparks Business Club, the initiative offered a meaningful example of how community-driven efforts can help bring important health conversations into everyday spaces.

Awareness empowers. Shared stories inspire. And a supportive community can make all the difference.
