Two lucky winners to drive home in luxury vehicle
DUBAI: A retired oil and gas director from Pakistan has joined the growing list of dollar millionaires after being announced as a winner in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw, held today at Dubai Duty Free Head office in Ramool.
Mr. Mian Imtiazuddin, a 75-year-old Pakistani national based in Islamabad, Pakistan won US$1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 540 with ticket number 4732, which he purchased online on 29th March.
A regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotions for over 20 years, Mr. Imtiazuddin is a father of one and a retired director with nearly 50 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He previously lived and worked in Abu Dhabi for 20 years.
Mr. Imtiazuddin, who chose the “Feeling Lucky” option when purchasing his winning ticket online, expressed his excitement; “I finally made it! Thank you so much Dubai Duty Free.”
He is the 28th Pakistani national to have won US$1 million in the Millennium Millionaire promotion since its launch in 1999.
Today’s draw was conducted by Dubai Duty Free Managing Director, Ramesh Cidambi, Dr. Bernard Creed, SVP – Finance, Mona A Ali, SVP – Human Resources, Michael Schmidt, SVP – Retail, Zayed Al Shebli, SVP – Asset Protection, Mohamad Al Khaja, VP – Retail Support, Yasa Tahir, VP – HR, Munavvar Saqqaf, VP – System & IT, Rajshekhar Kosuru, Senior Manager- System & Digital, Thankachan Varghese, Senior Manager- Retail Support, Salim Ibrahim, Senior Manager- Retail Sales, Salim Dahman, Senior Manager – Marketing, and Nasser Al Jasmi, Senior Manager – Exchange Bureau.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw for two luxury vehicles was conducted.
Mr. Babukanth Kanagaraj, a 37-year-old Indian national based in Abu Dhabi won a BMW 760i xDrive M Gran Lusso (Two-Tone Oxide Grey / Maldives Blue Metallic) car with ticket number 0928 in the Finest Surprise Series 1951 which he purchased online on 21st March.
A resident of Abu Dhabi since 2012, Mr. Kanagaraj is a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free’s promotions for more than 10 years. He is a father of two and works as an engineer for a private company in Abu Dhabi.
“Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this amazing win!” he said.
Lastly, Mr. Artem Fedortsov, a 44-year-old Russian national based in Dubai won a BMW R12 (Black Storm Metallic) motorbike with ticket number 0139 in the Finest Surprise Series 662 which he purchased at Terminal 2 on 20th March.
Mr. Fedortsov, who had just woken up to a call from Dubai Duty Free, has been resident of Dubai for three years and a regular participant in the promotions during the same period, following a friend’s suggestion to try his luck.
“What a great news! I can’t believe that I won, although I knew it was possible after my friend won a car in your promotion too!” he said.
Mr. Fedortsov is a father of one and works as a sales manager for a beach club in Dubai.
