DEWA promotes the noble values of the Holy Month of Ramadan through social and humanitarian activities

DUBAI: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a series of community and awareness activities during the Holy Month of Ramadan, in collaboration with Dubai Police, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, the Community Development Authority, the Dubai Club for People of Determination and Shabab Al Ahli Club. These events included field visits to Ramadan iftar tents and senior citizens’ councils across Dubai, with the aim of strengthening community ties and reinforcing the values of solidarity, tolerance, generosity and giving. The initiatives also highlighted DEWA’s innovative digital services, encouraging community members to adopt a more conscious and sustainable lifestyle while ensuring a seamless and convenient experience for all customers anytime and anywhere.

“We follow in the footsteps of the late Founding Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, by continuing the path of generosity and humanitarian giving. In line with the ‘Season of Wulfa’ initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and during the UAE’s Year of Family, we remain committed to strengthening Dubai’s position as a global city that promotes the noble values of Islam rooted in compassion and human coexistence. During the Holy Month, and as part of our social responsibility, we continue to strengthen the spirit of solidarity and cohesion among families and the wider community, contributing to the building of a strong, cohesive and prosperous society. Zayed Humanitarian Day
DEWA marked Zayed Humanitarian Day through a series of volunteering and humanitarian initiatives, organised in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, to honour the legacy of humanitarian work championed by the the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace.

‘Wulfa – The Cultural Experience’
In collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Cultural Understanding, DEWA launched the ʻWulfa – The Cultural Experienceʼ initiative to host tourists’ families and offer them a first-hand experience of authentic local traditions, reflecting the spirit of Emirati hospitality and promoting cultural exchange.

Ramadan Meer Al Khair
DEWA launched the 2026 Ramadan Meer Al Khair annual community campaign, in collaboration with licensed charitable organisations in the UAE, to provide essential food supplies and basic provisions to families in need during Ramadan.

Get ready to be rewarded
DEWA also organised a winter camp in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities to introduce new Muslims to the significance of the Holy Month and support them in embracing its values.
