MUSCAT: SalamAir, Oman’s Low Cost Carrier, is celebrating its 9th anniversary, marking nearly a decade of delivering affordable, reliable, and accessible air travel, while strengthening its role in connecting the Sultanate of Oman with the region and beyond.
In 2025, SalamAir operated 22,164 flights, carried over 3.4 million passengers, and expanded its network to over 44 destinations across domestic, regional, and international markets. The airline now operates a modern fleet of 15 aircraft, reinforcing its operational capacity and long-term growth strategy. These achievements reflect SalamAir’s promise to contribute positively to the aviation landscape of the Sultanate in accordance with the Vision 2040, with continued network expansion, fleet growth, and increased passenger demand.
These results provide a solid foundation as SalamAir looks ahead with confidence. Plans for 2026 are well established, including the addition of three new aircraft, scheduled for delivery in May, June, and September, further supporting capacity growth and network optimisation. SalamAir recently launched new routes to Port Sudan (January), Damascus (May), Vienna (June), and Medan (July), with further new destinations planned for announcement during 2026, continuing its strategy of diversifying the network toward markets with strong demand and balanced competitive dynamics.
