ABU DHABI: Led by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Board of Directors of Etihad Rail held a meeting at the Abu Dhabi Passenger Station in Mohammed Bin Zayed City to review progress across the UAE’s national rail network and the company’s readiness for the launch of passenger rail services in 2026.
During the meeting, H.H. and Board members were briefed on the advanced construction works at the station, the latest developments on the passenger train project, and the features of the service, which have been designed in line with leading international standards and best practices.
The Board also reviewed key operational achievements within freight rail services and upcoming projects, reinforcing Etihad Rail’s role in strengthening connectivity across the UAE’s integrated national transport system.
