DUBAI: American professional golfer Patrick Reed was on hand to conduct the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise draw for a BMW M5 (Marina Bay Blue Metallic) car, following his composed four-shot victory at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic at the Emirates Golf Club yesterday.
Reed, who claimed his fourth DP World Tour title and the first Rolex Series title of his career, drew the winning ticket number 1654 in the Finest Surprise Series 1945 and announced the winner as Mr. Leo Imberg, a 20-year-old German national based in Gifhorn, Germany.
He was accompanied by Dubai Duty Free Deputy Managing Director, Salah Tahlak and Sinead El Sibai, Senior Vice President – Marketing.
A first-time ticket buyer, Mr. Imberg purchased his lucky ticket on 30th December in Concourse D on his way back to Germany after a short holiday in Dubai with his father.
“Thank you Dubai Duty Free. I’m really grateful for this opportunity and for the experience of winning something in my life,” he said.
Tickets for the Finest Surprise promotion were on sale at Dubai Duty Free counters at the Emirates Golf Club throughout the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, which was held from 22nd to 25th January.
