150 professionals gain hands-on training in paediatric, orthodontic, oral implantology and restorative dentistry
DUBAI: In preparation for the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai 2026), the Dubai World Dental Meeting (DWDM) 2026 Preconference Courses kick off today. Running for two days at the Dubai World Trade Centre and Novotel WTC Hotel Dubai, the program offers an intensive and comprehensive educational experience for dental professionals across a wide range of specialities.
The DWDM 2026 preconference courses are designed to combine cutting-edge scientific knowledge with practical application, providing participants the chance to learn from world-renowned experts through interactive, hands-on training and internationally recognized accreditation.
All workshops are CME-accredited by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) and International Congress for Health Specialties (ICHS) ensuring participants receive professional recognition for their continuing education. This year, DWDM gathers approximately 150 dentists and experts, fostering an environment of collaboration and knowledge exchange. The courses equip dental practitioners with advanced clinical skills and insights that are shaping the future of dentistry.
One of the courses is on paediatric dentistry, featuring workshop led by Dr. Yousef AlAwadhi, Consultant Paediatric Dentist from Kuwait, and Dr. Mostafa Nabil, Assistant Researcher of Paediatric Dentistry, National Research Center from Egypt.
Dr. Yousef AlAwadhi stated: “This year, DWDM will explore the most recent innovations and evidence-based approaches in paediatric dentistry, with a focus on managing complex cases in primary and early permanent teeth. Participants will gain insights into the use of zirconia crowns, preformed flexible aesthetic crowns, and advanced materials such as SDF and MTA. The program emphasizes practical techniques and clinical strategies that are shaping the future of paediatric dental care, reinforcing the importance of continuous professional development and equipping practitioners with the skills needed to provide the highest standard of care to young patients.”
Dr. Mostafa Nabil added: “At DWDM 2026, a comprehensive workshop will cover zirconia crowns, preformed flexible aesthetic crowns, and ready-made space maintainers, recognized as the trendiest treatments in paediatric dentistry for 2026. The session will showcase innovative techniques and practical approaches that are shaping the future of paediatric dental care.”
In orthodontics hands on course, Prof. Ravindra Nanda, Emeritus Professor of Orthodontics, University of Connecticut, USA, will guide participants through advanced clinical techniques and emerging technologies in aligners.
Prof. Ravindra Nanda said: “DWDM 2026 brings together leading orthodontic practitioners and experts to explore the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics. A full-day specialized course on shape memory aligners will provide participants with in-depth insights into innovative techniques, practical applications, and clinical strategies for managing complex malocclusion cases. The program also features advanced oral implantology course, focusing on pterygoid implants and osseodensification techniques to improve primary stability and optimize clinical outcomes. In restorative dentistry course, participants will receive practical training on dental adhesives and anterior and posterior direct restorations, mastering the latest techniques to enhance clinical results and achieve aesthetically pleasing outcomes.
These specialized courses form part of the preconference educational program of the UAE International Dental Conference & Arab Dental Exhibition – AEEDC Dubai 2026, the largest global event of its kind. This year, AEEDC Dubai is expected to attract more than 74,450 visitors from the dental sector across 155 countries, with the Arab Republic of Egypt announced as the Guest of Honor for its 30th edition.
