Malaysia High Commission Welcomes New Second Secretary in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: On 12 December 2025, His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar bin Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan hosted a reception at the High Commission of Malaysia to welcome Ms. Shahida Binti Md Shoberi, who assumed her duties as Second Secretary of the High Commission. The event was attended by Home-Based Staff (HBS) and Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) of the High Commission.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Dato’ Azhar extended his warm congratulations to Ms. Shahida and expressed confidence in her experience, professionalism, and ability to contribute meaningfully to the work of the High Commission. He encouraged all officers and staff to extend their fullest cooperation to ensure her smooth integration into the mission and to maintain the High Commission’s high standards of service delivery.

The High Commissioner further emphasized the importance of teamwork, unity, mutual respect, and a positive work culture, underscoring that collective effort and harmony are essential in advancing Malaysia’s image and profile in Pakistan. He reaffirmed the High Commission’s commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative working environment in pursuit of shared diplomatic objectives. The event concluded with a group photo session, followed by a brunch.
