JAKARTA/KARACHI: The highly anticipated Familiarization Trip 2025, branded as ‘SHE Ventures,’ successfully concluded its 7-day exploration of Indonesia, validating the destination as a secure and enriching choice for female travelers. The initiative was spearheaded by a female representative from Gerry’s Visa and featured renowned influencers Amtul Baweja and Reeja Jeelani, whose participation amplified the mission of promoting safe travel in Indonesia for women.

The delegation covered three diverse cities—Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Bali—to showcase both the modern infrastructure and the deep cultural heart of the nation. The journey began in the bustling capital of Jakarta with a visit to the GBK Arena, highlighting Indonesia’s global standing in sports and entertainment.

The focus then shifted to Yogyakarta, the cultural soul of Java, where the trip embraced adventure and education. The team enjoyed thrilling outdoor activities, including whitewater Rafting in the Elo River and a rugged Jeep Lava Tour around Mount Merapi. The most impactful stop was a meeting with Pakistani female students studying in Yogyakarta on scholarship. The students offered powerful testimonials, confirming that their experience traveling and living in Indonesia is very safe, fun, and easy, praising the engaging and practical schooling environment.

The final leg of the journey offered a perfect blend of leisure and cultural immersion in Bali. While enjoying the famous Bali Hai Cruise ships and relaxing on white sand beaches, the team dedicated significant time to exploring the island’s core. They visited Undisan village, engaging directly with the local community, touring local schools, walking through scenic rice fields, and learning to play local musical instruments.

Furthermore, the Indonesian Consulate in Karachi leveraged the trip to strengthen tourism ties on a business level. The Consulate meticulously organized a Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting where the Gerry’s Visa representative was introduced to several prominent Indonesian travel agents and tour operators. This strategic session was designed to ensure more collaborative tourism initiatives and facilitate the development of attractive, seamless travel packages for Pakistani tourists.

The success of ‘SHE Ventures’ was made possible by the meticulous organization of the Indonesian Consulate in Karachi. This initiative, which included participation from a female representative of Gerry’s Visa and the female influencers, affirms the shared commitment to promoting destinations where women can travel with confidence and independence. The trip successfully demonstrated that Indonesia not only offers beautiful landscapes and adventure but also provides a welcoming environment underscored by respect and safety, making it an ideal destination for solo female travelers and groups alike.
